FIELD: electric heating appliances, in particular, cord non-metallic electric heating appliances with high resistivity. SUBSTANCE: the cable represents a device in the form of a long-sized strong base of fibrous material, with a resistive element helically wound around it with a pitch of at least 5 mm. The resistive element is made of a continuous high-resistance conductor with discretely arranged sections, whose resistance is 100 to 200 times lower, shunting high-resistance sections. The base with the resistive element helically wound around it is surrounded by sealing electric insulating coating. The high-resistance conductor is made in the form of glass thread with a pyrocarbon coating. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of heating elements cable due to reliable bond of metal galvanically applied onto pyrocarbon, as well as due to the fact that at an axial tension the strong base takes the load, leaving the helically wound resistive bundle practically unloaded. 1 dwg
