FIELD: electrical engineering; designing converter cubicles involving problems of cooling power semiconductor valves, such as thyristors of static converters or high-power rectifier diodes. SUBSTANCE: converter cubicle has pipe union 1 for forced supply of coolant, cooler 2 in the form of hollow cylinder with walls made of porous metal of open porous structure, and semiconductor power device 3 mounted on one end of cylinder 2; it is also provided with safety valve, hollow shell 7, spring 8 made of material possessing transformation induced plasticity, and cap 9 built integral with pit union 1 and incorporating seat 6 on open end; spring 8 possessing transformation induced plasticity, hollow shell 7, spring 4, and gate 5 of spring-loaded safety valve are mounted in hollow cylinder 2 in tandem from semiconductor device 3; open-end cap 9 is fitted on hollow cylinder 2. EFFECT: reduced coolant flowrate without reducing intensity of semiconductor device cooling; provision for shutting off coolant supply in case of cubicle load turn-off or reduction. 1 dwg
