FIELD: surgery. SUBSTANCE: suturing apparatus comprises body 1 consisting of movable 2 and stationary 3 working parts provided with clamping jaws 4 and 5. Body 1 houses hand-operated drive 6, pushers 7 and 8, piercing mechanism 9 carrying needles 11 connected to ligature 10, ligature-tensioning means 16, and needle guiding channels 13 on clamping jaw 5 of stationary working part 3. Needles 11 are connected to ligature 10 by their blunt ends and are stored in needle magazine 14 movably secured on movable working part 2 adapted to cooperate with piercing mechanism 9 which has additional cutting element 15 for ligature 10, means 16 for tightening ligature knots 17, and special needle grips 18. Inlet 19 and outlet 20 openings for needles 11 are formed in clamping jaw 4 of movable working part 2. Ligature 10 comprises self- tightening loops at non-working ends connected to means 16 for tightening ligature knots 17. Clamping jaw 4 of movable working part 2 is wider than clamping jaw 5 of stationary working part 3 having needle guiding channels 13 formed with radial surfaces 21 and with side ligature slots 22. Special needle grips 18 are disposed at inlet openings 19 for needles 11. EFFECT: apparatus can be used for ligature suturing of pulmonary tissues, intestine, blood vessels, etc. 8 dwg
