FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has casing with unmovable working lip, movable working lip and handles. Mechanism for suturing is enclosed in the casing. The mechanism has pulling unit for drawing out sewing thread after each loop performed by spiral-shaped needle having more than 360 deg along perimeter, knife for cutting off thread tips, driving and driven rollers. The spiral-shaped needle with thread is mounted to allow multiple rotations about its center and corresponding motion to be engageable with lateral guiding partitions. The suturing device has casing, handles and suturing mechanism with driving and driven rollers as the second version of the device. It additionally has thread tension mechanism provided with thread overtension protection mechanism. Thread is pulled out after each stitch and working lips. A needle or needles are clamped between the driving and driven rollers. The needles are manufactured as a part of circle or a part of coil taking at least 190 deg along the perimeter. The needles are rotatable about the center in plane arranged at an angle to the suture line or along the suture line.
