FIELD: wind-electric power engineering. SUBSTANCE: control process involves electricity generation with generator operating into supply mains, aerodynamic windwheel power limiting, and windwheel stopping. With generator operating into supply mains, in case of failure of blade operating system, braking torque is applied to rotating parts of plant, its value corresponding to rated torque of transmission, then generator is disconnected from supply mains, and additional braking torque is built up with generator operating as additional hysteresis brake; torque setting in hysteresis braking does not exceed rated torque in transmission and time t of additional braking torque application is chosen on one hand form relationship t≥ (2...5)T, where T is period of low oscillating frequency of windwheel blade, and on the other hand, when condition ω = 2ωrated is satisfied, where ωmax is maximum permissible windwheel speed and ωrated is rated speed of windwheel. In addition, in the course of braking of rotating parts, torque Mт1 developed by electromagnetic brake is monotonously reduced; as soon as windwheel angular speed ω reduces to 0.3-0.5 of rated value wrated, electromagnetic brake is turned off; used as electromagnetic brake is generator running as hysteresis.
