FIELD: wind-electric power engineering. SUBSTANCE: power plant has tower, windwheel, multistage step-up gear, flywheel, coupling, generator, control system. It is provided with coupler incorporating disengageable clutch, brake, additional shaft; large gear on intermediate shaft is coupled with two high-speed output shafts (main and additional ones) one of which is hollow and coupled with disengageable clutch whose central output member is coupled with flywheel through additional shaft passed through hollow output shaft of step-up gear; flywheel is mounted on step-up gear side opposite to disengageable clutch; other high-speed additional shaft is coupled with controlled brake. In addition, power plant has brake and coupler mounted on step-up gear case on non-generator and non-windwheel side; brake may be of mechanical, block, disk, or electromagnetic type. Disengageable clutch is single- or multi-disk friction clutch that has disk axial-thrust adjusting mechanism; pressure member of clutch is directly linked with drive mechanism. Clutch disconnecting drive in main model is built up of series-connected motor, reduction gear, and screw-and-nut assembly in which screw is coupled with reduction unit output shaft and nut is hinged with pressure member of disengageable clutch; in optional model, it is integral unit hinged on clutch case and pressure member is made in the form of first-degree lever hinged to clutch pushrod.
