FIELD: electric engineering, automation, in particular, devices which set precise movement for final control members. SUBSTANCE: device has magnetic system with magnetic source and core which is made from magnetostrictive material. Magnetic source is designed as permanent magnet, core is mounted relative reciprocal flat movement with respect to magnetic source. Device is controlled by means of change of magnetic flux in core when its center moves, for example, from magnetic system effective area which corresponds to maximal intensity of magnetic field, into area of nearest area of intense field in converter so that consumed power corresponds to power of motor which provides relative reciprocal flat movement of core when pushing member coordinate changes according to described method. In order to keep pushing member in same position, system does not consume additional power from external power source. Invention specification describes various variants of device design as well as of its magnetic system and core for corresponding control methods. Device may be used in design of precision manipulators, adaptive optical devices, devices which control movement of laser beam in processing equipment, devices for movement of processing tool in machines, devices for rotation of sample in precision X-ray sets for crystal investigation, for movement of tip of tunneling microscope, for movement of stage of tunneling or electronic microscope, precision weighing machines, in valves which control usage of gas and liquid chemical agents, for manufacturing patterns of hybrid microcircuits, in valves of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and so on.
