FIELD: heat exchange of media in direct flow and counter flow. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger consists of stamped plates which are interconnected in plate pairs forming flow-through passage for one medium; plates assembled in stack form flow-through passage for other medium. Supply and discharge cross sections of each flow-through passage are shifted diagonally relative to each other. Supply and discharge cross sections of passage for two media line near each other but are shifted relative to each other by half height of supply or discharge cross section of passages. Many similar plate stacks S are located near each other; supply and discharge cross sections Z1, Z2, A1 and A2 of each are separated by central partition 21 running through entire height of stack. Central partitions 21 of adjacent plate stacks are connected respectively by overlapping wall 22 in common collecting passages 2. Collecting passages 2 are connected in turn with common supply or discharge branch pipe for one medium by means of supply and discharge cross sections. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 3 dwg
