SUBSTANCE: comb-like sealing straps 2 are welded to plate heat exchangers consisting of many plates 11 connected into pairs, made of high corrosion-resistant material, connected into stack and furnished with comb-like strap 2 for dividing gas flows engaged in heat exchange. To provide gastight and corrosion-resistant seams welding of edges 1a of separate plates 1 getting into slots 2a of sealing strap 2 with sealing strap is carried out with partially using the material of end face edges 1a of plates projecting beyond the outer surface of sealing strap 2. End face edges of end zones 1b of separate plates 1 adjoining interconnected edges 1a of plates are welded from outer side of sealing strap 2 without filler material with use of plate material. Heat formed in process of welding is removed through at least one shaped part 3 made of high heat conductivity material adjoining the inner side of sealing strap 2.
