FIELD: transport engineering; electrified transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles with dc motors supplies from dc voltage system. Proposed multimotor electric drive contains supply source, series-connected armature windings of first and second dc traction, series-connected field windings of first and second dc traction motors, capacitor and contactors. First contactor is connected through resistor with second contactor. It employs three diodes, transistor, pulse-width modulator. Free lead of armature winding of first dc traction motor is connected with supply source, cathode of first diode and first lead of capacitor whose other lead is connected with common bus. Anode of first diode is connected with free lead of armature winding of second dc traction motor, transistor collector and common terminal of first contactor and resistor. Free terminal of first contactor is connected with free lead of field winding of first dc traction motor and cathode of second diode whose anode is connected with common terminal of resistor and second contactor, cathode of thirds diode and emitter of transistor. Output of pulse-width modulator is connected with transistor base, free lead of field winding of second dc traction motor and common bus.
EFFECT: increased economy owing to reduction of power consumption.
