METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE LOCOMOTIVE SPEED IN THE ELECTRIC BRAKING MODE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC B60L7/04 B60L11/06 B60L15/20

Abstract RU 2652481 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrodynamic brake systems for vehicles. Method for controlling the locomotive speed in the electric braking mode is that the excitation windings of the braking traction motors are connected in series and attached to the output of a synchronous traction generator equipped with a rectifier. Braking traction motors are loaded onto the braking resistors. Currents of the braking motors are measured and the maximum current of one of the braking motors is extracted. Excitation current of the braking motors is measured, the locomotive speed, the minimum value of the excitation current of the traction motors is set. From the measured value of the excitation current, the magnetic flux of the traction motors is calculated and multiplied with a value proportional to the set movement speed. Result is normalized, taken as the target current value of the braking motors, and compared with the maximum current of one of the braking motors. Result of the comparison is normalized, and the value of the set minimum value of the excitation current is corrected, and the adjusted voltage source is regulated by this adjusted value.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to improve the reliability of the electrodynamic brake.
