FIELD: refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: material contains, wt.-%: alumina, 50-70; magnesia, 24.5-49.5; silica, 0.1-1.5; calcium oxide, 0.2-2.0; and ferric oxide, 0.2-2.0, is prepared by melting with pouring, velocity of pouring and crystallization of melt being such as to ensure caking degree 0.05-0.85 and irreversible volume growth 0.5-7.0% after heating at 1250-1750 C. Material is suitable for manufacturing lining of heat units. EFFECT: improved quality. 1 tbl
