FIELD: production of catalyst. SUBSTANCE: cobalt slats are treated by mixture of carbon oxide and hydrogen at their ratio 4-10:1 respectively, the process takes place in the medium of aliphatic alcohol $$$ at 30-50 atm and 110-130 C in the presence of catalyst. Cobalt octacarbonyl or alcohol solution of cobalt carbonyl catalyst are used as said catalyst. Thus treated solution is cooled and treated by carbon oxide at 5-15 atm within 5-60 min. Conversion during carbonylation of 1-chloronaphthalene with the help of proposed catalyst is 90-95 %, yield of desired product is 83.4-83.9 %. EFFECT: improved efficiency of the method. 3 cl
