SUBSTANCE: carriage drive of flat knitting machine has electric motor, flexible link embracing driving and driven guides installed on the ends of machine needle holder and connected with carriage. Driving guide has cylindrical working surface of which a part of flexible link is wound. Both ends of flexible link are attached to driving guide with formation of two branches - running-on and running-off ones.
