FIELD: single-screw pumps used for handling various compounds in construction, petrochemical, food-processing and other industries. SUBSTANCE: single-screw pump has rotor made in form of single-start screw whose round cross section is shifted relative to axis of screw by amount of eccentricity and stator having double-start helical surface whose cross section is formed by two semicircles connected by lines; working surface of even one of part (stator or rotor) is provided with projections whose height does not exceed 12 mk and their number is no less than 20 per sq.cm. Outer surface of rotor of single-screw pump made in form of single-start screw whose round cross section is shifted relative to axis of screw may be provided with milled depressions measuring 1.6 to 2.8 mm in length, 1.5 to 2.5 mm in width and no more than 12 mk in depth. Machining of working surface of mould core is completed by milling the working surface at discrete feed of tools along axes X, Y and Z simultaneously: from 1.4 to 2 mm in plane XY and from 0.01 to 0.03 mm along axis Z in one direction.
