SUBSTANCE: amaranth seeds are subjected to direct extraction with hexane, followed by distillation under vacuum conditions. Extraction is conducted in carbon dioxide gas, while distillation is conducted at temperature not higher than 40 C and pressure 9.81-19.62 kPa. Mycellium thus-formed is subjected to sparging with carbon dioxide gas, while solvent remainder is removed by azeotropic distillation with ethanol using process conditions used to drive-off solvent in vacuum.
