FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: in a method of extracting vanadium from vanadium-containing slag including oxidative firing thereof with calcium-containing additive, leaching of calcine, and hydrolysis of solution to produce paste of commercial-grade vanadium pentoxide, distinguishing feature is that above-mentioned paste is subjected to dilution in 3-10% ammonium sulfate solution at solids/liquid ratio 1:(3-10), pH 1.543-3.57 and temperature 25-97 C during 15-120 min followed by conveying diluted mother solutions into hydrolysis process maintaining ratio of solution after leaching of calcine to mother solution 10:(1-1). EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 1 tbl
