FIELD: medicinal industry. SUBSTANCE: sealed ampoules containing dry interferon preparation were placed in casettes and subjected for two-fold irradiation on gamma-unit RDS-60 at total dose 15-25 kGr. This treatment provides the complete inactivation of any possible contaminating viruses and, therefore, the complete safety with respect to lymphotropic viruses. Antiviral activity of interferon is retained after treatment. The treated interferon exhibits safety, sterility, absence of toxicity. EFFECT: improved method of inactivation.
