FIELD: machine engineering industry branches, instrument making and building industry for making metallic different-designation casings and housings. SUBSTANCE: due to using gaseous mixture detonation energy blank is subjected to action of shock wave and hot explosion products and also to impulse action of rigid massive body jamming said blank. Such operations are realized by means of movable partition of apparatus for gas detonation forming. Said partition is mounted inside chamber, and it is provided with at least with one rigid annular protrusion having shaped end surface. Surface of die respective to said protrusion has profile reciprocal to said protrusion. Apparatus also is provided with pickup detecting operation of one of members for initiating detonation mounted in said die or in wall of detonation chamber.
