FIELD: decontaminating concrete, cement, and brick surfaces of building structures, rock, metal, alloy, and polymeric surfaces. SUBSTANCE: mechanical stresses are built up in contaminated surface layer by shock wave produced due to explosion of combustible gas mixture contacting the entity being decontaminated.
