DRIVE STATION OF SCRAPER CONVEYOR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; scraper conveyors for transportation of grain. SUBSTANCE: drive station of scraper conveyor has stationary frame, electric motor and spur reduction gear with output shaft interconnected by V-belt drive, and driving sprocket for traction member arranged in hood. Output shaft of spur reduction gear which serves simultaneously as station drive shaft has different length extensions placed on two supports one of which is secured on stationary frame and the other is made in form of overhanging axle secured to one side of hood. Shaft longer extension has socket for overhand axle bearing and flange to secure driving sprocket. Reduction gear is installed for moving in both directions relative to output shaft. Drive station has device for emergency disconnection of electric motor made in form of suspension frame secured to housing of spur reduction gear. Two side damping arrangement is mounted on suspension frame. Damping arrangement serves simultaneously as support of spur reduction gear. Contact fork is installed on suspension frame for engagement with limit switch. Electric motor and limit switch are secured on stationary frame. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
