FIELD: tobacco industry, in particular, preparing tobacco for production of smoking articles. SUBSTANCE: tobacco strand accumulator is made in the form of conveyor with two working runs and roller conveyor with drive rollers, which are arranged for passage of tobacco strand lift lever fork between rollers. Slide is mounted on other end of lever for sliding in horizontal guide. Nut is pivotally fixed between fork and lever slide. Screw actuated by electric drive is mounted in vertical position within nut. Cutter drive has two movable toothed cranks-gears kinematically connected with two gears of drive shaft and with two slides, each having carriage with two rollers arranged in vertical plane one above another. Cutter has rigid plate with detachable blade and may be attached to two slides. Cutter is coupled to central bar with cross-piece by means of screw pair. It allows cutter plate rigidity to be improved and cutter to be adjusted in vertical plane. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and wider operational capabilities. 3 cl, 3 dwg
