FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention aims to manufacture foamed concrete with homogeneous small-pore structure with simultaneously reducing pore-formation time and power consumption. Method is effected by way of loading water, foaming additive, cement, and sand into mixing vessel. As sand, that with fineness module 0.9-2.5 is used, and agitation is conducted in two steps. In the first step (homogenization step), mix is agitated for 5-30 s with agitation speed 40-200 rpm and in the second step (pore formation), 50-180 s and 400-1000 rpm, respectively. Apparatus has mixing chamber 1, drive shaft 2, and hollow blades 3 with nozzles 4. Drive shaft is provided with brackets 5, on which blades 3 are mounted at angle 45-90 deg, in respect, to horizontal plane. Inner space of blades 3 is connected to atmosphere through air vents 6,10 disposed in upper part of blades 3. Nozzles 4 are placed along blade 3 from the side opposite to direction of drive shaft 2 rotation. The second version of apparatus is distinguished with that the blades are made non-hollow and are provided with longitudinal trenches 23. Mix may be poured in to the height up to 3 m, which enables its using in in-situ building construction. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 39 cl, 19 dwg
