INGOT CONTINUOUS CASTING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2082544 C1

FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has crystallizer, forming nozzle and substrate for receiving heated melt. Substrate is positioned adjacent to lower part of crystallizer and made in the form unit of size equal to that of crystallizer. Substrate has bath-shaped depression, where at least one projection is disposed in symmetry with respect to middle axis of substrate. Side walls of substrate edge and projection are beveled toward inside part of depression. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 26 cl, 15 dwg
