FIELD: protective coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention focuses on formation of surface coating-type layers allowing alteration of physico-chemical and processing characteristics of basic material surface. The task is achieved by mechanically mixing coating material particles, accelerating them with gas or air stream at temperature ranging from 300 to 600 K to velocities characterized with Mach number within the range from 1 to 2 and, and settling the particles on substrate.
