FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing seeds to series of 400-1,000 pulses of magnetic field with pulse time of 10-40 msec and intensity amplitude of 70-150 kA/m. Apparatus has electric current pulse former and magnetic field emitter. Pulse former has power source, capacitor power accumulator, switch unit and switch control unit. Power unit is connected with capacitor accumulator and switch control unit, which is connected to switch unit control input. Capacitor accumulator is connected in series with switch unit and both are connected to magnetic field emitter at output of pulse former. Magnetic field emitter is formed as solenoid. Power frequency AC voltage of 220 V, 50 Hz is supplied to pulse former input. During positive half-cycle control unit opens switch unit. As a result discharge of capacitor accumulator on solenoid occurs and magnetic field pulse is generated in emitter. EFFECT: increased germinating capacity and yield. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 3 tbl
