METHOD FOR MAKING VASCULAR HOMOGRAFT PREPARATION AND MEDIUM FOR STORING SAID PREPARATION Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; cardiosurgery for making and subsequent storage of vascular homograft preparations. SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises following steps of: vascular complex is taken and preparation is made of it, preparation is treated with antibiotics and placed into storage medium. Inventive novelty of method resides in following features: before and in process of making preparation vascular complex is treated with reactant containing hemino-peptide complex, latter being represented by AMINOKROVIN preparation. Treatment with antibiotics is carried out, as preparation is placed into storage medium containing hemino-peptide complex at osmolarity 550-600 mmole/kg. Method recommends to use antibiotics which do not form triplet states due to steric transformations and which release long-lived singlet oxygen, e. g. cephotaxime/heptomycin sulfate mixture in ratio 8-9 : 1-2. It is also advisable that antibiotics mixture would additionally include amphotericin B in antimycotically effective doses, use of cephotaxime/heptamycin sulfate/amphotericin B mixture in ratio 40-43 : 5-8 : 1-2 representing optimum. Said preparation storage medium comprises, as source of salts and nutritional substances, AMINOKROVIN preparation and, in addition, it comprises cephotaxime and hephotaxime 25.0+-2.5, heptamycin sulfate 4.0+-0.4, AMINOKROVIN being balance. Besides, it is preferable that amphotericin B be also added to said storage medium in concentration 1.0+_0.1 g/l. EFFECT: proposed method and storage medium ensure functioning of autoregulatory system for protecting blood vessel tissue against attacking mechanical, chemical and temporarily acting damaging factors. 7 cl
