FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: claimed invention describes process of catalytic hydrogenation of organic compounds which can be effected in one phase. The claimed process comprises supplying initial product solution onto catalyst placed in hydrogenation reactor. Said solution is saturated with hydrogen under pressure. The ratio of reactants (initial product and hydrogen) is calculated proceeding from physical and chemical properties of the product to be hydrogenated. The claimed process makes it possible to hydrogenate wide range of compounds which can be converted up to 99% and are highly selective. The process is relatively simple technologically and economical. EFFECT: more efficient hydrogenation process. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
