FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to development of methods for preparing selective hydrogenation catalysts of furfurol and / or furfuryl alcohol to obtain 2-methylfuran. Described is a method of preparing a hydrogenation catalyst for furfurol and / or furfuryl alcohol, involving mixing ammonium molybdate, nickel nitrate, citric acid and distilled water. Mixing is carried out at heating to 100 °C until complete dissolution of components with providing molar ratio of Ni / Mo from 0.1 to 0.5, molar ratio of molybdenum and nickel to amount of carbon in citric acid is equal to 1:1, obtained impregnating solution for moisture capacity impregnating carbon carrier – Sibunit, which is then dried in air at 100 °C and calcined in an Ar stream at 400 °C, the resulting composite is cooled in a Ar stream was reduced at 600 °C in a stream of hydrogen, recooled passivated and 1 % O2 under argon at room temperature.
EFFECT: technical result is higher activity and selectivity of catalyst and enabling production of 2-methylfuran with output over 90 % with selective hydrogenation of furfurol and / or furfuryl alcohol.
