FIELD: synthetic rubber production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing articles supposed to be subjected to alternate loads: cone belts for vehicles and other mechanisms requiring exertion transfer. Rubber compound is prepared according to conventional technique. Utilized are the following components (in weight parts): homogeneous terpolymer, 64-70; butadiene, 14-16; acrylonitrile, 14-20; vinylidene dichloride, 100; metal oxide, 3-10; sulfur, 0.3-1.0; carbon black, 80-100; silicic acid filler, 10-15; curing accelerator, 0.3-1.5; antiaging agent, 1.5-6.0; plasticizer, 10-15; and process additives, 6-8. Terpolymer has been prepared via radical copolymerization with gradually adding acrylonitrile during the process. Characteristics of compound and cured stock: Mooney viscosity at 100 C 50-70 conventional units; conditional stretching strength 10.7-12.4 Mpa; elongation 460-690%; tear resistance 60-67 kN/m; weight change of cured stock after swelling in standard liquid at 100 C within 24 h - 0.8-1.8%; rubber sample surface temperature 88-103 C; crack resistance 2.0x105-3.9x105 and 3.84x105-4.6x105 cycles; growth of cracks to 6th degree 106 cycles; binding strength 29-32 kg/cu. cm.
