FIELD: sintering of ores and concentrates, particular, preparation of sinter burden for sintering; applicable in metallurgical and other industries for production of highly active slaked lime. SUBSTANCE: the offered device has air duct with metering device mounted before it, reactor for slaking lime which consists settling and mixing chamber, means for regulation of water flow rate, one of which is installed before mixer of settling chamber, and the other, before mixers of mixing chamber in which three equalling spaced mixers are mounted and located over generating line angle of 25-35 deg to axis of mixing chamber. Mixers present pipe accommodating nozzle with diffuser for water supply. Axes of mixing and settling chambers are arranged at angle of 1-89 deg. Chambers are cylindrical, and settling chamber has cover convex in shape. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
