FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, production of raw materials for blast-furnace heat. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes successive supply onto moving sintering cars of two layers of sinter burden and provision of rarefaction under sintering cars. Sintering is carried out with varying speed of movement of sintering cars determined by relation V = K(hP/H), where V is speed of movement of sintering cars, m/min; H and h are thickness values of lower and upper layers of burden, mm; P is rarefaction under sintering cars, mm HH2OO; K is empirically determined coefficient characterizing the sintering rate of burden in both layers equalling 0.0010-0.015 m/min. EFFECT: higher productivity of sintering process, increased strength of sinter and reduced consumption of fuel and iron charge. 1 tbl
