FIELD: superhigh-power microwave cathode-ray tubes designed for amplifying and generating radio-frequency energy. SUBSTANCE: device has pumping system with vacuum chamber coaxially arranged electron gun with thermocathode assembly and anode, cavity with microwave power input and output assemblies, plasma source inside solenoid, beam-to-plasma interaction chamber, and hollow collector; in addition, it is provided with differential-pressure unit placed between gun anode and cavity input; beam-to-plasma interaction chamber is combined with cavity case; plasma source is made in the form of hydrogen generators built: in at cavity input and output; pumping system has magnetic-discharge pump built in vacuum chamber and cylindrical thermocathode assembly inside getter rings; all components are connected through nonsplit joints. Differential pressure unit is, essentially, beam guide built up of three coaxially. closed spaces filled with coolant and its central channel accommodates getter sections. Electron gun anode has water-cooled cylindrical shielding screen coaxially mounted relative to thermocathode assembly. EFFECT: improved design. 5 cl, 2 dwg
