Abstract RU 2085262 C1

FIELD: gas purification. SUBSTANCE: effluent gas is fed into drying vessel together with aqueous suspension of calcium hydroxide or carbonate with water content at least 88 wt %. Exhausted suspension should contain no less than 29 wt %. Effluent gas is further fed into absorption stage with recycling urea (5-100 g/l) aqueous solution at 80-95 C. Exhausted absorption solution contains 300-350 g/l ammonium sulfate. The latter is treated with exhausted suspension from spray dying stage. Resulting suspension of gypsum is spray-dried with effluent gas fed to be set free from serum dioxide. Product of this operation contains at least 86 wt % calcium sulfate and no more than 7-10 wt % calcium hydroxide or carbonate, moisture content being no more than 5%.
