FIELD: separation of solid materials by means of liquids. SUBSTANCE: method consists in using inclined narrowing chute with wide upper loading part and narrow lower discharge part. Chute is set in longitudinal and transversal reciprocating motion. Transversal reciprocating motion is effected at short-term negative acceleration at time interval not exceeding 0.1 s. Starting material with liquid is loaded in upper part of chute and flow of pulp is formed in chute at decrease of speed of its longitudinal motion in lower part of chute. Braking of longitudinal motion of pulp is effected by means of transversal obstruction in form of hoist of bottom of discharge part of chute. Speed of transversal reciprocating motion of pulp rises due to limited motion of upper part of chute. Light fraction is discharged through openings with pulp cut-off in upper part of walls of discharge part of chute; heavy fraction is discharged through slot in area of bend of chute bottom. Magnetic fraction is discharged through passages available in side walls of chute due to periodic action of magnets located under bottom of chute. EFFECT: improved quality of concentrate. 4 cl, 4 ex
