FIELD: gas purification. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing chemisorbent to remove ammonia and cyan chloride from gases and may be used to protect environment against poorly sorbed toxic components. Method includes impregnating activated carbon granules with nickel chloride solution, drying, heat treatment of granules at 150-250 C, and their separation. Method is distinguished with using carbon preliminarily calcined at 800-950 C under oxidative gas atmosphere to summary porosity 0.95-1.05 cu.cm/g and containing copper-chromium compounds on its surface. EFFECT: essentially increased ammonia-absorption capacity and catalytic activity in respect to cyan chloride.
