FIELD: sorbents. SUBSTANCE: ammonia and hydrogen sulfide sorbents to clean industrial effluent gases or protect respiratory organs are prepared by impregnating activated carbon with copper sulfate and thermally treating granules, which method is distinguished by carrying out sorbent heat treatment at 100 to 170 C in "fluidized bed" furnace and performing impregnation procedure with copper sulfate concentration 15-25 wt % at 80-95 C and sorbent to solution volume ratio 1:(0.25-0.45). EFFECT: increased dynamic activity of sorbent with regard to ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. 1 tbl
