FIELD: sorption technology; methods of production of sorbents for absorption of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide; cleaning of industrial gases; individual and collective protection of respiratory organs.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heat treatment of activated carbon containing copper and chromium compounds at temperature of 500-700°C, impregnation with nickel chloride solution at concentration of 15-20 mass-% at the sorbent:solution ratio equal to 1: (0.5-0.75) followed by drying in fluidized-bed furnace at temperature of 120-230°C and sieving.
EFFECT: enhanced absorbing capacity by hydrogen sulfide with reduction of dynamic activity by ammonia.
