FIELD: forecasting of compositions of metallurgical oxide melts having predetermined physical and chemical properties. SUBSTANCE: ferrite-calcium flux comprises mixture of oxides, stoichiometric coefficient ρ of this mixture being 0.78-0.82, its chemical equivalent De being (-4.1)-(-1.92). Content of SiO2 in it is 1-7 mass %. Mixture for production of claimed flux comprises ferrum-containing waste or mixture of waste of metallurgical conversion, lime stone, dolomitized lime stone and/or dolomite, solid fuel. Summary ratio of total ferrum content in it and Feg/SiO2 content is not less 11, SiO2 content being 0.5-5.0 mass %. EFFECT: higher quality of flux. 3 cl, 1 tbl
