FIELD: medical engineering; ophthalmology; studies of color perception. SUBSTANCE: proposed anomaloscope comprises unit for generating test color stimulus made in form of originally conceived, proprietary optical system. Anomaloscope further comprises unit for color stimuli registration in which stimuli can be moved in relation to one another within patient's field of vision, and mechanism for reading-out coordinates of mutual location of stimuli. Apparatus can be used for accurate and objective assessment of person's color vision quality, it can be used for professional selection and/or training of operators engaged in visual observation of various colorful objects. Invention can be used to study degradation or changes in color vision associated with professional activities and/or with age. EFFECT: simplified measurement procedure; enhanced accuracy and reliability of color vision quality control; possibility to detect minor and slight color vision deviations; shorter measurement time. 3 cl, 4 dwg
