FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves creating and showing color stimulus to a testee as spatially non-uniform color field. Monochrome field is shown as reference color stimulus substituting a part of color test field. Color stimuli are equalized by changing their relative positions until the reference color stimulus is brought in coincidence with the color test field portion where according to the testee idea, stimulus color index equality is reached. Stimuli relative position coordinates are recorded to make conclusions concerning the color vision quality. To enhance accuracy and accelerate the process of color vision disturbance type detection and reduce measurement time, several reference color stimuli of various color index values are shown to a testee at the same time.
