FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming and showing standard and test color stimuli of complex spectral composition to a testee and letting the testee equalize their color composition by selecting the test stimuli. A set of standard stimuli is shown to the testee, their spectral composition being selected as one satisfying a predefined relationship. The testee equalizes each color stimulus. Equalizing being accomplished, the spectral composition of each test stimulus is fixed and human eye addition function is calculated from a set of equalization results to make judgements on color vision quality. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of method in evaluating small deviations and general degradation of color vision function. 6 dwg, 1 tbl
