FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: antibacterial preparation consists of dimexide, low- and high-molecular polyethylene oxides, anesthetic and antibacterial agents showing bacteriolytic (thiomersal, polymixin) and bacteriostatic effect (tetracycline and levomycetin) and water complexed to sterile stable microcrystalline suspension at the following ratio of components, wt.-%: dimexide 5-15; low-molecular polyethylene oxide 40-60; high-molecular polyethylene oxide 6-10; anesthetic agent 0.5-1.5; thiomersal 0.05-0.15; polymixin 0.2-0.6; tetracycline antibiotic 0.4-1.2; levomycetin 0.35-1.05, and water up to 100. Components were dissolved at the definite sequence and temperature regime. The obtained sterile stable preparation shows broad spectrum antibacterial activity that can be used for parenteral, oral and other routes of using for animal treatment, mainly bacterial etiology. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of preparation, improved method of preparing. 2 cl, 9 tbl
