FIELD: technical physics. SUBSTANCE: method of invention and appropriate devices may be used in various technical areas, for example, in fireproofing, in food industry, when fabricating aerosol packages, and in all events when environment is to be enriched with gas without recourse to chemical procedures. Method is based on preliminarily saturating sorbent with gas and desorbing the latter in due moment applying physical means. Such means is a substance possessing higher heat of sorption in the sorbent as compared with gas in question. The first device contains casing enclosing sorbent saturated with gas rendering environment inert to burning and/or extinguishing fire, and inlet pipe enabling introducing substance into the casing. The latter is made as a barrel preserving leakage of substance and providing release of gas, the substance possessing elevated heat of sorption. The second device contains gas-saturated sorbent and casing with substance. Casing is made as a barrel apt to receive sorbent through window in its wall. In this case, substance is a food, liquid, or gel-like fluid with at least one constituent exhibiting elevated heat of sorption regarding employed sorbent. The third device contains sealed aerosol package with casing enclosing substance in the form of spray fluid, and gas-saturated sorbent separated from substance by a shell. The shell is fixed inside casing additionally provided with element designed to rupture the shell and/or element is a part of shell. At least one constituent of this substance exhibits elevated heat of sorption. The fourth device contains casing and flavoring gas-saturated sorbent contained in casing. Casing is made of gasproof shell appropriate to be ruptured to release gas. In this case, gas constituents exhibit heat of sorption lower than one of environmental atmosphere constituents.
