The presence of antibodies and antigen is determined by nonbound complement detected by catalase activity of the lyzed sheep erythrocytes. The own complement is removed from the analyzed material by sorption on neutral complement of hemolysin and sheep erythrocytes treated with 7.5-15% hydrogen peroxide followed by centrifugation.
