FIELD: clinical immunology. SUBSTANCE: method includes determining specific immune complexes with given DNA-containing virus from increase of exogenous complement activity by way of simultaneously bringing it into interaction with specific antibodies or Epstein-Barr virus. Immune complexes are further calculated in terms of known formula and severe forms are differentiated from mild ones in dependence on presence of specific immune complexes in blood using intrinsic coefficients for specific antibodies or Epstein-Barr virus.
