FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: device functions to transmit digital data from satellite of satellite communications system and to receive them. It also functions to determine its own location and to transmit this information to system satellite. Satellite communications system is aware of location of each subscriber's device. In addition, location of subscriber's device is automatically determined by signals received by system and transmitted to system for other purposes, such as control, search, and risque operations.
