FIELD: satellite communication. SUBSTANCE: method provides access to service depending on location of user sets. It involves transmission of data about position of user set through satellite to communication processor with administrator of home data for user set. Said home communication processor selects service control region and corresponding servicing communication processor to be used for establishing calls from and to user set. If indeterminate region for position of user set overlaps with boundary between service control regions, additional data about position of user set may be obtained to decrease size of indeterminate region. If indeterminate region still overlaps with said boundary, choice of service communication processor uses data about home communication processor and service control region in which center of overlaps with boundary is located. EFFECT: possibility to select commutation telephone station which is linked to geographical region to service user set depending on its position. 8 cl, 11 dwg
