FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: analytical procedure in which vitamin B1 is electrochemically concentrated on electrode surface followed by registration of cathode peaks is distinguished with that electrochemical concentration is carried out on mercury-film electrode at potentials from -0.10 to -0.15 V for 120- 180 s in 0.2 M potassium chloride or 0.2 M ammonium chloride solution containing hydrochloric or sulfuric acid with pH 2-4 or in Britton- Robinson solution with pH 2-5. Cathode peaks are registered at linear velocity of potential scanning 20-30 mV/s. Concentration of vitamin B1 is determined from cathode peak height within potential range from -0.35 to -0.48 V relative to Ag/AgCl reference electrode. EFFECT: improved analytical procedure. 2 tbl
