FIELD: applied meteorology, in particular, hail control. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining parameters of charge cloud and separating atmospheric instability zone, increased radio reflection zone, ascending flow zone; dispensing artificial ice-generating aerosols into them; moving out aircraft to the height 1-2 km above upper boundary line of charge cloud in the direction coinciding with that of cloud; determining altitude and coordinates of lower point of increased radio reflection zone by means of radar; starting apparatus for acting upon cloud at time advance calculated by formula: τ(adv) = ao + (2.715 + 0.322 C) ((yo - yк)), where ao is aircraft initial speed effective coefficient; C is ballistic coefficient of acting apparatus; yo is outburst altitude, km; yк is altitude of lower point of increased radio reflection zone. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
